  2. That’s a great accomplishment for all of you! I’m sure you and your family are very proud of him, it took a lot of hard work and dedication to reach this goal. Treasure the memories of this weekend and the events leading up to it, they are priceless.

    God Bless,

  3. All,
My son is now a Doctor. He starts his residency in July at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. His specialty is Emergency Medicine. He has worked hard. He told me when he was in the 7th or 8th grade that he wanted to become a Doctor. From that moment on, he concentrated his classwork so that he could take as many A.P. classes as possible. When he graduated from High School, he took the A.P. tests for math, history and English. He tested out of all of them. His ACT score was 33. When he took the entrance exam for Baylor University they were stunned because he qualified to be in all of the Honor’s programs they had. He did very well at Baylor as a pre-med student. In the meantime we had moved from Oklahoma to the Kansas City area. Therefore, he was able to get into University of Kansas Medical School. He did very well there and was able to be matched to the Residency Program he wanted.
I see God’s hand in all of this. My wife is not very happy about him moving so far away, but he is an adult and in God’s hands. I pray that God will use him for His glory alone.
    In Christ
    Mike Ratliff

  4. Wonderful pictures, Mike! I am so happy for you and your family! What an accomplishment! Also, warn him about those bossy nurses who like to pick on residents! LOL!
