  1. PSALM 66
    Praise to God for His Awesome Works
    To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm.

    1 Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
    2 Sing out the honor of His name;
    Make His praise glorious.
    3 Say to God,
    “How awesome are Your works!
    Through the greatness of Your power
    Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.
    4 All the earth shall worship You
    And sing praises to You;
    They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah
    5 Come and see the works of God;
    He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
    6He turned the sea into dry land;
    They went through the river on foot.
    There we will rejoice in Him.
    7 He rules by His power forever;
    His eyes observe the nations;
    Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
    8 Oh, bless our God, you peoples!
    And make the voice of His praise to be heard,
    9 Who keeps our soul among the living,
    And does not allow our feet to be moved.
    10 For You, O God, have tested us;
    You have refined us as silver is refined.
    11 You brought us into the net;
    You laid affliction on our backs.
    12 You have caused men to ride over our heads;
    We went through fire and through water;
    But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.
    13 I will go into Your house with burnt offerings;
    I will pay You my vows,
    14 Which my lips have uttered
    And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.
    15 I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals,
    With the sweet aroma of rams;
    I will offer bulls with goats. Selah
    16 Come and hear, all you who fear God,
    And I will declare what He has done for my soul.
    17 I cried to Him with my mouth,
    And He was extolled with my tongue.
    18 If I regard iniquity in my heart,
    The Lord will not hear.
    19 But certainly God has heard me;
    He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
    20 Blessed be God,
    Who has not turned away my prayer,
    Nor His mercy from me!

    The New King James Version. 1996, c1982 . Thomas Nelson: Nashville

  2. Praise God for the totality of WHO HE is. Praise HIM for HIS holiness. Praise HIM for HIS majesty. Praise HIM for HIS sovereignty. Praise HIM for His unchangableness. Praise HIM for creation. Praise HIM for HIS trustworthiness in all things at all times in all places. Praise HIM that we, HIS redeemed children, can know that HE is working all things together for our good. Praise HIM that HE caused us, HIS regenerate children, to be born again and allowed us to see HIS holiness and know our utter depravity. Praise HIM for our Redeemer and for paying with HIS own blood for our sin. Praise HIM that HE has not left us alone, but has given us HIS HOLY SPIRIT to guide us and to keep us. Praise HIM for our eternal inheritance that HE keeps in heaven for us secure, unblemished, unfading, imperishable. Praise HIM for HIS grace and HIS gifting of faith. Praise HIM that we are just passing through here and that we have an eternal home in heaven, and that HE gives us (by HIS indwelling HOLY SPIRIT) the knowledge that we are aliens and strangers. Praise HIM that HE gives us daily reminders of the temporalness of our time here on earth and allows us sufficent suffering to increasingly long for our eternal true home with HIM. Praise HIM that HE gives us family “in the LORD”. Praise HIM for the saints who have gone before us and all that we can learn from them. Praise HIM that HE has given us HIS WORD that we might know HIM, love HIM, treasure HIM and grow in HIM. Praise HIM.

  3. Praise HIM for faithful men, women, boys, and girls who love the LORD with all their heart, soul, mind and strength- and who are daily increasing in Christlikeness and faithfulness— thus showing God’s great worth and glory by their lives.

  4. That was beautiful, Kim. At first I thought I was reading a Psalm! Did you know that one of the ten attributes of Paul was thankfulness? ” A thankful heart for those to whom one ministers is essential to true spiritual service.” You are loved by Christ. God bless you.
    MacArthur, J. (1996, c1991, c1994). Romans. Chicago: Moody Press.

  5. I thank you Lord God that Your ways are higher than ours and that You are faithful even though we are not. You are the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob and have adopted us into Your family because of Your never failing love. I thank You for answered prayers for You answer our prayers day and night. Blessed is You name forever and ever, amen!

  6. It has been just over one month since my previous postings of praise. In that time I have had all of my needs met and so many of my wants. The LORD has steadfastly and faithfully upheld me and loved me. Praise HIM! Praise HIM for HIS excellent greatness. HE is so faithful. HE is perfect Father!

    In a sermon at evening service yesterday, the pastor expounded on 1 Chronicles 13- 14:1, the recording of an event in the life of King Abijah. There is a brief history of who Abijah is (from the line of David on both maternal and paternal sides), how long he reigned and that he died. The bulk of of the chapter covers the battle with King Jeraboam of the 10 northern tribes. Abijah is out numbered 2 to 1, 800,000 chosen men to 400,00 chosen men. And yet Abijah addresses the enemy before the battle with confidence knowing that God will not allow Jeraboam to prevail on 2 counts. Count 1- God’s covenant promise to David (of whom is Abijah’s kingly line). and Count 2- Jeraboam and the nation of Israel have become idolators and forsaken the LORD.

    The pastor’s focus was that Abijah himself, a king who did evil and followed in the evil way of his father (1 Kings 15), trusted in God’s covenant promise. Abijah knew God is faithful. Abijah know that God’s sacrifical covenant stood forever. He knew that God is faithful to all HIS promises to HIS covenant people, regardless of our condition, and that we simply need to cry out to HIM. HE longs for HIS children, to cry out to HIM in their no win situations.

    I am so thankful for HIS faithfulness.

  7. By HIs great mercy and in HIS great love He continues to steadfastly do HIS sanctifying work in me and in all the saints.

    In particular I have been earnestly seeking HIM and an increased walking in the Spirit in my life and a lessening of the time spent walking following after the desires of my flesh. I have sought HIM with tears, asking to be shown more of HIS holiness and more of my sinful ways in thinking (reasoning), desiring, doing and speaking- that my life may more show HIS worth for HIS name’s sake.

    Our faithful Father, all knowing Tutor, gentle Nurse, the ONE who beautifully dresses us (clothes us with righteousness) [Ezekiel 16:1-14, Revelations 19:8b]– He promises to give us a new heart and a new spirit; to put HIS Spirit within us. He promises to cleanse us from all our uncleanliness. Thus, causing us to walk in HIS statutes and to be careful to obey all HIS ways. HE says that in this occurence we will remember our evil ways and our deeds that were not good and that we will loathe ourselves for our iniquities and our abominations. [Ezekiel 36:23-38]

    He promises HE will do it, and HE does. HE does it for HIS name’s sake, that HIS glory might be seen and that “they will know I am the LORD.”

    This is the focus of my praise today. This is how my prayers have been answered so faithfully. HE, faithfully, and in fulfillment of HIS promise, has helped me to see more of HIS holiness and as such, remember my evil ways and my deeds that were not good. I am so thankful as HE increasingly brings my understanding into line with HIS understanding of reality- which of course IS reality.

    It is painful. So many of the things that I have never been troubled by (because I have been immersed in the humanistic reasoning and ways of this North American Culture), that were an abomination to HIM, now are a trouble to me too. He has given me opportunity to confess and repent. He is helping me to walk more and more in SPIRIT and TRUTH- in HIM. I am so thankful. What answer to prayer.

  8. Wanting to join Sarah in her praise from August 6. Our God is so good and so faithful.

    “I thank you Lord God that Your ways are higher than ours and that You are faithful even though we are not. You are the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob and have adopted us into Your family because of Your never failing love. I thank You for answered prayers for You answer our prayers day and night. Blessed is You name forever and ever, amen!”

  9. Who is like you? Great are you mercies toward us Your children. Your strong arm girds us round about and protects us on all side! Your holiness permeates Your Word and sustains your people. You give wisdom to the humble and understanding to the meek. Far above gold, silver, and precious stones are You, Oh Lord! You looked upon me in my despair and had compassion on me. I was wondering to and fro and You put my feet upon Your path and lit Your light that I might see my way. Your hand is always with me and Your instruction guides me to You. Oh, that I might joy in You in all times both during the good and suffering times of my life. They are the fire that melts my will away and brings Your will to direct my life. I love You Lord God and Savior of my life!

  10. Praising the LORD for another day to worship with brothers and sisters in the LORD, and to hear HIS WORD preached faithfully and passionately. Praising HIM for HIS WORD. Praising HIM for the victory HE has given all HIS children and that we can know that we labour not in vain. Praising HIM that HE provides for us to delight in HIM. Praising HIM for all that HE is. What a glorious God we serve.

  11. Praise Thou my King, my Lord, my Creator, my Saviour! Thank Thee for godly friends whom Thou hath sent to encourage me. Thank Thee for Sarah and Kim whose example of dedicating their lives for Thine Glory alone has truely blessed this servant. Oh Lord, be glorified in me. Use me in any way Thou desires. Please take Sarah and Kim into Thine close embrace. All for Thine Glory – Soli Deo Gloria!

  12. You choose me before the foundations of the earth.
    Will You now cast me away forever?
    I once felt the joy of Your salvation
    but I did not count it as worthy as myself.
    I once felt Your peace after forgiveness
    but I did not count it as worthy as myself.
    I once felt Your presence surround me during the storms
    but I did not count it as worthy as myself.
    Your holiness, Your omnipotence, Your loving-kindness, and Your gracious nature I did admit in my prayers
    but I did not count it as worthy as myself.
    Now I’m here without the feelings of my humanness. My heart feels empty like a tomb. Does a tome feel anything? This You have left me with that I might see that I indeed am not worthy. You will not come near unto me although I know that You will not leave nor forsake me forever. I am but a leper that feels nothing but the hole You have left within me. Am I to be forsaken forever because I cannot feel Your joy, peace, and Your presence around me? I am no longer Yours? Does not a leper still have the consequences of injuries and healings even though he is unable to feel them? Do I not still receive Your grace and upholding in my life? I cannot find my way out of this pit that You have put me in. I am tired of looking at the mud walls. Oh help me to look up that I might see Your loving-kindness toward me! I am grieved that I did not count You more worthy than myself. That I skipped along in the green of Your pastures., that I did not cry when merriment was about me and that I did not kiss Your rod and staff that protected me. You are not God to be handled and used for my benefit. I am not worthy to look up or to look down. Blindness would be my fate if You were not gracious to me. I am Yours take me. Teach me quickly to reverence you that I may come back into Your loving arms safe from my disease that threatens my life. Come Lord Jesus. Please come quickly!

  13. I thank you Lord God that you answer the prayers of Your children and that Your hand of protection keeps us from straying from You. You are gracious in all that You do. Help me to remember Your goodness to me and Your lovingkindness in my life. Help me to always choose You above all else. “Keep me, Jesus, as the apple of Thine eye. Hide me under the shadow of thy wing. Keep Thy hand upon me lest I die. And keep me, Jesus, as the apple of Thine eye.”

  14. Thanking the LORD that HE has allowed us the privledge and opportunity of having brothers and sisters in HIM who encourage, instruct and correct us; reminding us that it is for HIS glory that we exist and have our being. So thankful.

  15. Who is like God? NOTHING created is like God. God, You are not bigger and better than us for that would make You somewhat like us…You are separate from all that You have created and there is nothing and no one that is like You and that is why You are holy, holy, holy. We praise You for this reason.

  16. God OF MY END,

    It is my greatest, noblest pleasure

    to be acquainted with thee

    and with my rational, immortal soul;

    It is sweet and entertaining

    to look into my being

    when all my powers and passions

    are united and engaged in pursuit of thee,

    when my soul longs and passionately breathes

    after conformity to thee;

    No hours pass away with so much pleasure

    as those spent in communion with thee

    and with my heart.

    O how desirable, how profitable to the Christian life

    is a spirit of holy watchfulness

    and godly jealousy over myself.

    when my soul is afraid of nothing

    except grieving and offending thee, the blessed God,

    my Father and friend,

    whom I then love and long to please,

    rather than be happy in myself!

    Knowing, as I do, that this is the pious temper,

    worthy of the highest ambition, and closest pursuit

    of intelligent creatures and holy Christians,

    may my joy derive from glorifying and delighting thee.

    I long to fill all my time for thee,

    whether at home or in the way;

    to place all my concerns in thy hands;

    to be entirely at thy disposal,

    having no will or interest of my own.

    Help me to live to thee for ever,

    to make thee my last and only end,

    so that I may never more in one instance love my sinful self.

  17. I thank You, Lord God, for all my brothers and sisters that You have given me to edify me…I pray that You use me to edify them in return. You are gracious to all of us and we glorify You for choosing us to be Your children. Keep us near to You and help us to always dwell in Your presence where there is everlasting heavenly gifts which are You.

  18. I thank you, Lord, for Your grace, mercy, and patience with me. Thank you for being a loving Father to show me my “hidden” sins that keep me from having a loving and enriching relationship with You. All the glory belongs to You. Amen.

  19. Blessed are You, O LORD God my Father, forever and ever. Holy are You. Holy. Holy. Holy. (Rev 4:8) Set apart. Like not other. Glorious. Yours O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the wisdom and the might and the wealth and the victory and the majesty- for all that is in heaven and in the earth is Yours. Yours is the kingdom LORD, and You are exalted as head above all. (1 Chronicles 29:11) Worthy are You to receive glory and honour and powers and blessing for you created all things and by your will they existed and were created. (Rev 4:11)

    By Your grace, Your goodness, and Your mercy You have set apart some to be you very own children, Your beloved, Your saints. (Psalm 4:3) You planned for it from eternity past, procured it in Christ Jesus, Your precious Son, and supernaturally made it come to be through Your Holy Spirit. By Your own will, through Your own strength and for Your own purposes you caused it to be. (1 Peter 1:2) Salvation is all of you. (Acts 4:12)

    Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 15:6), Father of mercies (2 Cor 1:3), Father of glory (Eph 1:7), Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change, we, your saints, praise You. (James 1:17) You have saved us, you have called us out of darkness into your marvellous light, that we might proclaim Your excellencies (1 Peter 2:9), and that we might live our lives in reverent fear (Hebrews 11:7) with hearts fully devoted to you, through the wonder working power of Your Holy Spirit, who has been given to us (Romans 5:5b). So that what is mortal, what is flesh, physical, perishable and temporal may be swallowed up by life (2 Cor 5:5b) and that life is Jesus Christ (Colossians 3:4), eternal and glorious. That those who live (have life in Christ) might no longer live for themselves but for Him who for their sake died and was raised, (2 Cor 5:15) so that in HIM we might become the righteousness of God- (2 Cor 5:21) holy and blameless (Eph 1:4; 5:27). That in the coming ages You might demonstrate Your glory. (Eph 2:6b)

    Father, thank you for all that You are. Father thank You, that by Your grace and mercy You birth Your children, call Your children, save Your children, justify Your children, and cause them to be clean (sanctify Your children). We stand in awe and worship you. Amen.

  20. Psalm 139:1-16 “Oh Lord, You have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, Oh Lord, You know it all together. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it. Where shall I go from Your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there! If I make my bed Sheol, You are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, ‘Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,’ even the darkness is not dark to You; the night is as bright as the day, for darkness is as light with You. For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secrete, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in Your Book were written, everyone of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them.”

  21. Beloved, I got a call from my Mother Saturday that my brother-in-law, my sister’s husband, was in the hospital with severe vomiting. About 1976 he was impaled on a rake handle and the doctors believed that his problem was scar tissue in his intestines causing the problem. He went into surgery about 6:30 pm and was out about 7:30 pm. The removed the scar tissue and everyone believes he is going to fully recover. My sister was greatly relieved. However, I know that it is The Great Physician who heals. My mother called everyone she knew to get them to pray for my brother-in-law. My wife and I did pray and continued to pray for him. I was not surprised that God did this. I prayed that God would use this in my sister’s and her family’s hearts for His glory. Praise be to God!

  22. Amen, Mike, I pray that God will move in their hearts and I am glad to hear that he is doing well. God answers prayer everytime.

  23. Psalms 27
    1 The LORD is my light and my salvation;
    Whom shall I fear?
    The LORD is the strength of my life;
    Of whom shall I be afraid?
    2 When the wicked came against me
    To eat up my flesh,
    My enemies and foes,
    They stumbled and fell.
    3 Though an army may encamp against me,
    My heart shall not fear;
    Though war may rise against me,
    In this I will be confident.

    4 One thing I have desired of the LORD,
    That will I seek:
    That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
    All the days of my life,
    To behold the beauty of the LORD,
    And to inquire in His temple.
    5 For in the time of trouble
    He shall hide me in His pavilion;
    In the secret place of His tabernacle
    He shall hide me;
    He shall set me high upon a rock.

    6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
    Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
    I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.

    7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice!
    Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
    8 When You said, “Seek My face,”
    My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”
    9 Do not hide Your face from me;
    Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
    You have been my help;
    Do not leave me nor forsake me,
    O God of my salvation.
    10 When my father and my mother forsake me,
    Then the LORD will take care of me.

    11 Teach me Your way, O LORD,
    And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
    12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries;
    For false witnesses have risen against me,
    And such as breathe out violence.
    13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
    That I would see the goodness of the LORD
    In the land of the living.

    14 Wait on the LORD;
    Be of good courage,
    And He shall strengthen your heart;
    Wait, I say, on the LORD!

  24. Psalm 145

    1 I will extol You, my God, O King;
    And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
    2 Every day I will bless You,
    And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
    3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;
    And His greatness is unsearchable.

    4 One generation shall praise Your works to another,
    And shall declare Your mighty acts.
    5 I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty,
    And on Your wondrous works.
    6 Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts,
    And I will declare Your greatness.
    7 They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness,
    And shall sing of Your righteousness.

    8 The LORD is gracious and full of compassion,
    Slow to anger and great in mercy.
    9 The LORD is good to all,
    And His tender mercies are over all His works.

    10 All Your works shall praise You, O LORD,
    And Your saints shall bless You.
    11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom,
    And talk of Your power,
    12 To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts,
    And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.
    13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
    And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

    14 The LORD upholds all who fall,
    And raises up all who are bowed down.
    15 The eyes of all look expectantly to You,
    And You give them their food in due season.
    16 You open Your hand
    And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

    17 The LORD is righteous in all His ways,
    Gracious in all His works.
    18 The LORD is near to all who call upon Him,
    To all who call upon Him in truth.
    19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
    He also will hear their cry and save them.
    20 The LORD preserves all who love Him,
    But all the wicked He will destroy.
    21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD,
    And all flesh shall bless His holy name
    Forever and ever.

  25. Reading your wonderful praises to God gives me great peace and joy in the midst of all my trials

    Thank-you

  26. The Love of God

    The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell;
    It goes beyond the highest star, and reaches to the lowest hell.
    The guilty pair, bowed down with care. God gave his Son to win;
    His erring child He reconciled, and pardoned from this sin.
    O love of God how rich and pure! how measureless and strong!
    It shall forever more endure. The saint’s and angels song!

    When years of time shall pass away, and earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
    When men who here refuse to pray, On rocks and hills and mountains call,
    God’s love so sure shall still endure, All measureless and strong;
    Redeeming grace to Adam’s race The saint’s and angels song.

    Could we with ink the ocean fill, And were the skies of parchment made,
    Were every stalk on earth a quill, And every man a scribe by trade,
    To write the love of God above Would drain the ocean dry;
    Nor could the scroll contain the whole, Tho stretched from sky to sky.

    O love of God how rich and pure! how measureless and strong!
    It shall forever more endure. The saint’s and angels song!

    …and He waited for me come back to Him.

  27. I came across this blog through Christian Research Net. I think it is wonderful that you have space here for those who would like to share praises:
    I would like to thank God for giving my 75 yr old mother each and every day. My mother was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor after suffering a grand mal seizure on Thanksgiving day ’06. This was totally unexpected and she was an active woman until that day. Throughout this entire ordeal of surgery, radiation, and ongoing chemo my mothers only desire has been to be brought closer to God and his Son Jesus. This has so humbled me. We are praying for healing but she has said consistently that God will heal her, or maybe he wont, but all she really wants is Peace and to be closer to Him. God has answered her prayer.And through her he has brought me, my sister and many of our mothers friends Peace and a “closeness” to Him. Her reliance on Christ is obvious and the blessings have been abundant during all of this. Her friends from church have really shown the love of Christ through action- prayer, support and love. For that we give Him all the praise. And for the cancer: right now, no new growth detected- Praise God! Thank the Lord for every day he blesses us with.

  28. My Dear Heavenly Father,

    Thank you for being with Mary and her family during this fiery trial. You are great and awesome and we adore and worship you. Please continue to heal Mary’s mother and use this trial to draw Mary and her family into a closer more intimate walk with You. -

  29. Thank you our most Holy and merciful God for having mercy on such undeserving but so grateful children. Your words fill my heart with such love for you that it brings me to tears. You are so wonderful, Holy, majestic and you are in my every thought and deed and thank you for showing me when your not. Always lay my heart open and show me my sins and allow me to repent. Thank you Father for drawing me near to you when I had no one else. Thank you for leading me to that narrow gate and difficult path that will lead me home to you. Thank you God my Gracious Saviour for showing me that you truly are all I need. I love and adore you my King.

  30. I have been singing this for weeks. I can’t stop and I don’t want to!

    All hail the power of Jesus Name
    Let angels prostrate fall!
    Bring forth the royal diadem
    And crown Him Lord of all!
    Bring forth the royal diadem
    And crown Him Lord of all

    AMEN!

  31. Were having a thunderstorm tonight and thought I would share a verse or two of an old hymn that comes to mind: I have a CD by Selah and they do a nice job and it starts with the sound of rain and thunder

    How Great Thou Art

    When I in awesome wonder,
    Consider all the worlds
    Thy Hands have made:
    I see the stars,
    I hear the rolling thunder
    Thy power throughout
    the universe displayed

    Then sings my soul,
    my Saviour God to Thee,
    How great Thou art,
    How great Thou art,
    Amen

  32. Is is proper to raise your hands when you are saying the doxology in your church( no body else is doing it, but I fill that I am praising God so I raise my hand,am I right or wrong?

  33. Dorthy,

    Well, I raise my hands when I worship my Lord. If you do it as you worship in spirit and truth then no problem. If you do it to be seen then its a problem. I say do it, but do it as you are fully focused on God not men.

    In Christ

    Mike Ratliff

  34. Man of Sorrows! what a name
    For the Son of God, who came
    Ruined sinners to reclaim.
    Hallelujah! What a Savior!

    Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
    In my place condemned He stood;
    Sealed my pardon with His blood.
    Hallelujah! What a Savior!

    Guilty, vile, and helpless we;
    Spotless Lamb of God was He;
    “Full atonement!” can it be?
    Hallelujah! What a Savior!

    Lifted up was He to die;
    “It is finished!” was His cry;
    Now in Heav’n exalted high.
    Hallelujah! What a Savior!

    When He comes, our glorious King,
    All His ransomed home to bring,
    Then anew His song we’ll sing:
    Hallelujah! What a Savior!

  35. Praise God! I decided to stay in this small town and applied for a job. They called me in for an interview tomorrow and I am pretty sure I have it. I was holding out from looking for others because this is what I like to do! Thank You God! I’m so excited!!

  36. I praise You,Lord,for the joy of Your salvation!This is the joy that fear cannot overwhelm,that darkness cannot dim,that the tears of sorrow cannot drown,that trials cannot override,that failings cannot erase,that persecutions cannot extinguish,nor enemies overrule,nor evil reports lessen,nor sickness take away.This is the joy You give us that is constant and strong through this life’s unknown journey to our Heavenly home.Yes!The joy of the Lord is our strength!

  37. This is my favorite chapter right now:The Way of Love 1st Corinthians 13

    13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, [1] but have not love, I gain nothing.

    4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; [2] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

    8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

  38. My daughter would like some prayers for an aunt that has inoperable lung cancer that has gone to her brain and an uncle who has kidney cancer and is about to have surgery. We would appreciate this very much. Thank you so very much. In Him, Deb

  39. I’m sorry this is long! (it is worth the happy ending) 8 months ago my whole world fell apart. I thought I had everything under control, I was cutting my own path through life just fine. I was 25 and successfully self-employed with lots of friends and lots of ambition. Then I had a seizure. A MRI revealed an angioma (malformed blood vessels) in my right temporal lobe. I lost driving privileges and was put on medication. The meds were terrible and I was a wreck. I had lost my independence, my business, my personality, 25 pounds, and all of my physical and emotional strength. Then it got worse, in one day I had seven severe seizures. The angioma was bleeding. I lost my memory. My mom had to come stay with me. She had to take me by the hand and walk me around and tell me when to brush my teeth. The neurologist said my memories were permanently lost, as was my ability to create new ones. The angioma and surrounding area would have to be removed. In the middle of all this bad news I found hope in my Bible. I had always believed in God, but I finally realized I NEEDED Him. I’d randomly flipped the Book open and found Deut. 31:6 “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you, He will not leave you or forsake you.” I refused the surgery. Every morning mom and I said “thank You Jesus that by your stripes I am healed!” She taped verses up all over my walls and we would say them out loud. The healing started slowly. A recovered memory here and there, by one month the doctor was surprised at my improvement. These months have been difficult, but everything I had lost God has been returning to me. I got my personality back, but it’s a kinder, gentler version. A woman at church received a word that the person in need of a job would have it by the end of the week. I hadn’t been hunting for one, but by that Thursday I didn’t just have a job, I got my whole business back. In a better place and situation than it was before and I am just about to start my 4th week there. The memories have still been coming back and I’m remembering new info just fine. It has only been 6 months and my life is now an avalanche of blessings. I know I am forgiven and I know I am healed. I know I will never have another seizure again. I am excitedly looking forward to the evidence of my healing to be shown to my doctors. They are already impressed, but I’m waiting for God to knock their socks off. I am standing in faith that my brain is perfect and complete, and that the doctors will be able to see this miracle on an MRI. Thank you for reading this, I hope it was a blessing to you. Please keep me in your prayers and stand in faith with me for a clear MRI.

    Psalm 103:1-5—Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

  40. This weekend our youth group had a D-Now last weekend. Our whole statement/theme for this weekend was becoming one heart as a youth group. As Friday passed we were all studying about the trinity and that God says that believers should become one as he,his spirit, and his son is, that we should unite with unconditional love as Christians. And then it happened, it was Saturday night at 8 at share time. People were standing up talking about how God has influenced them this weekend. And then this girl named Destiny stands up and is like” my dad is messed up on drugs and stuff and he called me yesterday acting like everything was okay. He was making fun of my adopted parents and saying how he was going to get right and stuff. But then I hung up on him” and then she just started balling. And then I went to talk to her in person, and I was like its okay because my dad called me to for the first time in a year and a half and acted like everything was okay. He didnt even say sorry, I was in prison for half your life and in and out of rehab the other half. And then it hit me, because before this I was asking God, what are you trying to get through to me, please show me this weekend. And it was that I need to begin to forgive, and that by this he can shine a light through me to be a light to others going through situations like this. My destiny for that weekend was to begin to forgive. And I praise God that he had someone else there going through the same things as I was. So we could guide each other. That night all of us girls went to a room and had a little prayer group and emotional discussion moment, which brought us closer together. In the end, God had UNITED our youth group as one! And theres no telling where hes going to take us from now on!!! But I know that it is in a positive and encouraging way!!With all my heart, I praise God for this D-Now weekend. He has been so great to me and i am blessed to belong to such a loving youth group like this. God is so amazing! So we’ll PRAISE HIM with all of our hearts -<3

    Thanks

  42. Dear Brother Mike,
    I got a job! Thank you for praying for me a couple of days ago. I have peace this is where God wants me and I am going in later in the day so I will still have precious time to spend in the word in the morning like I am used to doing. Thank you. Praise and glory to God, who loves us.

  44. I have some good news about the little church that I left behind when I exited the WOF movement. They got a new pastor who graduated from Jerry Saville’s program, however God was gracious to this church. Pastor Tom came down with throat cancer and this opened his eyes to the fallacies of the WOF. Through the pastor’s leadership the church has left the WOF movement and much of the weird “spiritual warfare” junk. They are seriously studying the Word of God and Pastor Tom is a much wiser man because of God’s mercy and grace.
    I had sent out a prayer request on another blog for this church. Pastor Tom is still in serious ill health and is thinking of retiring. A young couple from the church who were graduates from Rhema , who have been gone during the years of the transformation, were coming back in the hopes of taking over for Pastor Tom. Pastor Tom and the church leaders had made it clear that this would not be happening. Pastor Tom is serious about the truth of God being preached and he will not leave his flock in the hands of a false teacher.
    The update is that the young lady, who is from this area has returned alone with their two young children, the youngest is one month old. Her husband has been abusive and has had at least one affair. He is from another country and this young lady has supported them both ever since they have been married with little or no help domestically either. She is in great need of prayer. She still needs to be freed from the WOF movement and come to love the truth of God. Her husband needs salvation.

  45. Trying to find a Michael Ratliff who traveled around the country accurately prophesying a lot in the 1980’s. Lived in Texas for a while. Do you know who that might be?

  46. Gary,

    No, I’m not that Micheal Ratliff. I believe the one you are looking for is Micheal Ratliff – Prophet of God. I don’t know how to find him. Sorry.

  47. “I will help thee, saith the Lord.” {#Isa 41:14}
    This morning let us hear the Lord Jesus speak to each one of us: “I will help
    thee.” “It is but a small thing for me, thy God, to help thee. Consider what I
    have done already. What! not help thee? Why, I bought thee with my blood. What!
    not help thee? I have died for thee; and if I have done the greater, will I not
    do the less? Help thee! It is the least thing I will ever do for thee; I have
    done more, and will do more. Before the world began I chose thee. I made the
    covenant for thee. I laid aside my glory and became a man for thee; I gave up
    my life for thee; and if I did all this, I will surely help thee now. In
    helping thee, I am giving thee what I have bought for thee already. If thou
    hadst need of a thousand times as much help, I would give it thee; thou
    requirest little compared with what I am ready to give. ‘Tis much for thee to
    need, but it is nothing for me to bestow. ‘Help thee?’ Fear not! If there
    were an ant at the door of thy granary asking for help, it would not ruin thee
    to give him a handful of thy wheat; and thou art nothing but a tiny insect at
    the door of my all sufficiency. ‘I will help thee.’”

    O my soul, is not this enough? Dost thou need more strength than the omnipotence
    of the United Trinity? Dost thou want more wisdom than exists in the Father,
    more love than displays itself in the Son, or more power than is manifest in
    the influences of the Spirit? Bring hither thine empty pitcher! Surely this
    well will fill it. Haste, gather up thy wants, and bring them here—thine
    emptiness, thy woes, thy needs. Behold, this river of God is full for thy
    supply; what canst thou desire beside? Go forth, my soul, in this thy might.
    The Eternal God is thine helper!

    Fear not, I am with thee, O, be not dismay’d!

    I, I am thy God, and will still give thee aid.

    Spurgeon
