Judge Not Part 6 – The Blessedness of Assurance

So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me. If anyone’s will is to do God’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory, but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood. (John 7:16-18 ESV)

Until recently, I had no idea that there is a battle brewing over believer’s assurance. When I use that term I am speaking of “Assurance of Salvation.” I am at a point in my life where I have little, if any, doubt about my salvation. I know I am in Christ. I believe God has saved me and is sanctifying me on an ongoing basis. I have had some false doctrine thrown at me lately that has been specifically designed by the enemy to make me doubt.
