Let Us Reason Together Part 14 – God Give Us Wisdom

Mem. Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day. Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts. I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word. I do not turn aside from your rules, for you have taught me. How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. (Psalms 119:97-104)

When I do research in preparation for teaching or writing, I may spend hours upon hours searching the internet for information about my topic. I usually end up with many hits and landings on sites run by people who claim to have spiritual discernment. However, I have learned to be very careful when I hear that claim because that usually means they are no more than opinionated pot shot takers. They quickly reveal their true nature in their biased views. I am constantly amazed at the spiritual blindness of these people. They do not know what it really means to be spiritual. These false expounders of nebulous doctrines attack everyone who disagrees with them yet refuse to fine-tune their position. This enables them to attack in all directions yet never reveal their doctrinal positions enough to make them vulnerable. These people love to have the immature believers seek them out for "truth," but they only give opinion. Continue reading
