Charles Spurgeon Quote

“The eye cannot see itself. Did you ever see your own eye? In a mirror you may have done so, but that was only a reflection of it. And you may, in like manner, see the evidence of your faith, but you cannot look at the faith itself. Faith looks away from itself to the object of faith, even to Christ.”

  1. And that is exactly why the person of the Holy Spirit is the most mercurial of the Godhead, He can only be known through Himself and He prefers to illuminate Jesus. A good quote, Mike.

  2. Amen Rick, the wind blows where it wishes. We cannot percieve how it or why it does what it does. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, is God, but He points Men to Christ not Himself. Very good point.
