I Exalt Thee

For Thou O Lord art high above all the earth
Thou art exalted far above all gods
For Thou O Lord art high above all the earth
Thou art exalted far above all gods

I exalt Thee, I exalt Thee I exalt Thee, O Lord
I exalt Thee, I exalt Thee I exalt Thee, O Lord

  1. And His exaltation cannot be fathomed while we are still earth bound. Spurgeon once remarked that when we get to even the outside door of hevaen, even before we see Christ, we will think ourselves a thousand fools for ever being attracted to anything in this world.

He goes on to say that if that is our emotion while viewing the outer court, what will we think when we see the exalted Christ? When all the universe flees from the terror of His face, and when all of heaven prostrates themselves before His holiness, and when the angels are embarrassed in the presence of such august beauty, and when we as saints are overwhelmed in worship by the splendor of His being only to see that He also has retained His wounds of glory before all of creation, the wounds that were endured for us, will we not then know how pitiful our allegience to Him had been?

At this time of thanks giving, let us exalt Him who alone is worthy!!!

  3. Well, if I didn’t have tears being held back because of this song, then Rick has to go and quote Spurgeon…I need a kleenex! God bless you Mike and Rick!
