1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:1-2 (NASB)
My dear brethren in Christ, I have been doing so much research and posting lately about the absolute wickedness that is overtaking the visible church in our time that I came to believe that it was time for a bit of encouragement. Yes, that whole Wokeism, CRT, Intersectionality, Social Justice paradigm that is being propagated by the apostates at the elite level of our denominations and seminaries is connected directly to the CRT that has consumed Big Tech and other major corporations in the U.S. and Europe. And, yes, when CRT interfaces with religion as in the SBC and other denominations it is nothing more than a form of paganism. Those behind it are absolute apostates. They may use the same Biblical language and doctrinal terms we use, but they do not mean the same things. Things may look very bad if we look at things from the perspective that is not eternal. However, those of us who are in Christ must fight this battle with eternal, spiritual weapons, not temporal, fleshly weapons. That also means that our focus must be on our Lord and His will all the while lining up what we do and say with Him. How do we start?
Go back and re-read the two verses at the top of this post. We must start there. We must never lose sight of our standing within the grace of God which we obtained through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we obtained peace with God. We stand here in supernatural faith by the grace of God as we exult in hope of the glory of God. We must never lose sight of the purpose of God saving us. None of us were worthy of salvation. We did nothing to earn or deserve it. We are trophies of His mercy and grace all for His glory.
3 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:3-5 (NASB)
So, we are going to have tribulations. I suspect that the evils the Woke people are planning are just starting. These people have lost the ability to reason. They have no ability to reason. They cannot even come close to debating us on any truths so what do evil people do when they are on a mission of hate when they come up against Christians who will not back off the truth of God no matter what? They get violent. They do bad things. However, this passage says that these tribulations brings about our perseverance.
I went through several years of battle against the emergent and Purpose Driven apologists. They were just like this. They could not reason. They could not stand before God’s truths. So, what did they do? They tried to shut us down. They tried to overwhelm us with hate. Sometimes I felt like that last machine gunner in a foxhole surrounded by the enemy who was about to overrun my position. However, as I prayed and went before the Lord for wisdom, discernment, and Christlikeness all these evil people became like nothing. All my anxiety would go away and I could stand up to all of them with no problem at all. I am amazed when I read this passage how God made that happen over and over again in the midst of those battles.
Another thing I learned that I must do in those battles was to be armored up.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, 15 and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; 16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, Ephesians 6:10-18 (NASB)
All of those pieces of armor are essential. Of course, I remember vividly using God’s Word like that to silence those attacking His truth and demanding that there was no absolute truth. How could I stand that way? I was wearing that armor. We cannot fight these battle if we are out for ourselves. The only way we can fight these battles is if we are doing all for the glory of God and working to know His will and obey Him. How do we know His will?
1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2 (NASB)
So, you see it all comes back to us being that holy, acceptable, living sacrifice given to God daily to be His to do according to His will as an act of worship. We abstain from the ways of the world and submit to the working of the Holy Spirit as He transforms us through the renewing of our minds. It is through this that we prove what the will of God is. He will lead us to know what it is and we will conform ourselves to it. His will for us will never be to be conformed to the world in any way.
Yes, we are in the midst of an evil battle. This time the pagan Religion is unified with the pagan Culture and the pagan Economic System. Those of us who are in Christ have never been the majority. However, as Paul said, “we exult in hope of the glory of God.”
Soli Deo Gloria!
