Judge Not Part 2 – The Source of Judging Others

1 “Do not judge, so that you will not be judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with what measure you measure, it will be measured to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. Have you ever observed bullies? You know, those people who seem to go out of there way to belittle everyone around them both physically and verbally. Why do they do it? The heart of Man is deceitful and depraved. In the following passage, God explains to His people His method of judgment. He also explains that Man, left to self, is “desperately sick and deceitful.” However, there is no excuse. God still searches our hearts in order to proclaim justice. Continue reading
